DPA SET TO INSTALL 2.5MW, 4.1GWh SOLAR SYSTEM IN HARARE

DPA is set to install Zimbabwe’s largest roof mount solar solution for PEPSI (Varun Beverages) in Harare. The 2.5MW solution will produce 4.1GWh of energy and save over 25,000 trees annually.

The epic solar system will be installed at the Varun Beverages site along Simon Mazorodze road in Harare. This follows after DPA has also done a 1MW installation at Schweppes Willowvale site in Harare. At this site a hybrid power system was commissioned in November 2019. The system is engineered with over 2000 panels and is hybrid with diesel generator integration to ensure 100% power up time.
